St. Rose's SHS is a government assisted boarding school for girls under Catholic Management. The education of the students includes academic, religious/moral and physical training

The school which was founded in 1965 by the Dominican Sisters of Speyer, Germany is located at Akwatia which is under the Denkyembour District in the Eastern Region

Mission

In line with the mission of the Ghana Education Service, the mission of the school is: “To promote relevant education to Ghanaian girls, to enable them to be God-fearing and acquire skills that will assist them to develop their potential to be productive to facilitate poverty reduction and to promote socio-economic growth and national development”

Vision

To become a center of excellence in Girls’ education geared towards achieving a high quality education and training relevant to the manpower needs of the country. The school prepares yound girls for their future roles as disciplined and morally upright women to become caring wives and mothersworthy citizens and responsible leaders of their country
